    Description

    Job Description

    Responsibilities

    • Undertake structural design and analysis for various projects, including bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects supervised by a senior engineer
    • Generate detailed plans and construction documents for assigned tasks
    • Conduct engineering calculations to support the development of detailed plans and construction documents
    • Create contract specifications, bid documents, and technical reports
    • Travel throughout the Southeast Region as needed
    • Conduct periodic field site visits and bridge inspections

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
    • Georgia Professional Engineer or Structural Engineer License
    • Minimum of eight years of structural engineering experience, specializing in bridge design (preferred)
    • Experience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design and plan production for bridge projects adhering to Federal and State regulations
    • Ability to collaborate effectively within a design team and lead other engineers
    • Proficiency with current Finite Element Modeling (FEM) software (preferred)
    • Must possess strong attention to detail and goal-oriented mindset, be self-motivated, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
