    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a talented and experienced Apigee Architect to lead the design and implementation of API management solutions using the Apigee platform.

    The Apigee Architect will play a critical role in architecting scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs that meet business requirements and drive digital transformation initiatives.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in API design, integration, and architecture, along with expertise in Apigee platform capabilities and best practices.

    Responsibilities:
    Solution Design:

    Architect end-to-end API management solutions using the Apigee platform, considering scalability, security, and performance requirements

    API Design:
    Design RESTful APIs, define API specifications, and establish API design best practices to ensure consistency, usability, and maintainability

    Platform Configuration:
    Configure and customize the Apigee platform to implement API proxies, policies, security mechanisms, and traffic management strategies


    Integration:

    Integrate Apigee with backend systems, cloud services, and external APIs to enable seamless data exchange and interoperability

    Security:
    Implement security controls, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and threat protection, to secure APIs and protect sensitive data

    Performance Optimization:
    Optimize API performance and latency, monitor API usage and health metrics, and implement caching and rate limiting mechanisms to ensure scalability and reliability

    Governance and Compliance:
    Establish governance processes and controls for API lifecycle management, versioning, documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards
    DevOps

    Integration:

    Implement DevOps practices and automation tools to streamline API deployment, testing, monitoring, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

    Documentation:
    Create comprehensive API documentation, including API specifications, developer guides, and usage examples, to facilitate adoption and integration by internal and external developers

    Training and Enablement:


    Provide training, mentoring, and technical support to development teams, architects, and stakeholders on Apigee platform capabilities, best practices, and use cases.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

    Proven experience as an Apigee Architect or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing API management solutions.

    Deep understanding of RESTful API design principles, microservices architecture, and integration patterns.
    Expertise in Apigee platform features, including API proxies, policies, analytics, and developer portal.
    Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages.
    Knowledge of API security standards and protocols, including OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS, and API key management.

    Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
    Certifications such as Apigee Certified API Engineer (ACE) or equivalent are a plus.
