    Position Summary
    The Outreach and Communications Coordinator at the UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital will be responsible for strengthening the hospital's relationships with both its internal and external stakeholders through a variety of marketing and communications efforts as well as through planning and executing strategic outreach and engagement initiatives. Job duties will include conducting referring veterinarian clinic visits, coordinating special events, serving as an exhibitor at trade shows, managing the hospital's survey programs, overseeing the artwork/information displayed in the client facing areas of the hospital, and working with the College's Communications Team to facilitate photo/video shoots, to maintain/enhance the hospital's website, to assist with social media posts, and to initiate materials that will help promote and support the hospital's various services. This position will also work closely with the hospital's administrative team to support internal communications by sharing positive stories, helping plan events, and supporting other community building activities.

    • Ability to work independently, conceptualize project, and manage multiple priorities.
    • Ability to perform creative writing and related activities such as conducting interviews, research, and copy editing.
    • Ability to communicate effectively.
    • Knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop software
    • Ability to understand and interpret information.

    Oversee all external communication and marketing efforts for the hospital including, but not limited to, conducting referring veterinarian clinic visits, coordinating special events, serving as an exhibitor at trade shows, managing the hospital's survey programs, and sending out e-newsletters. This position will also be responsible for ensuring all public facing information is kept up to date on the website, on Google, and in the client facing areas of the hospital.

    Serve as a liaison with the College's Communications Team to facilitate photo/video shoots, to maintain/enhance the hospital's website, to assist with social media posts, to formulate an advertising plan, and to initiate materials that will help promote and support the hospital's various services.

    Work closely with the hospital's administrative team to support internal communications by sharing positive stories, helping plan events, and supporting other community building activities. Assist in planning and executing staff/LVT recruiting events for the hospital. Provide support for the hospital's tour program through student ambassador training as well as by serving as a tour guide when requested by administration.
