Summary:
Apex Systems is hiring for a PCBA Design Verification Engineer for a global satellite broadband project.

The individuals shall be responsible for working with Purchaser team members to maintain, calibrate, and deploy hardware testers.

In addition, individual(s) shall execute environmental test campaigns as defined by Purchaser with the outcome of producing test reports demonstrating the performance of the unit during test.

Individuals will be responsible for ensuring tester is calibrated and fit for running tests. If any issues come up, Purchaser team member's will be notified to resolve the issues.

The individuals will work with RF/Microwave hardware and will utilize common RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.

Therefore, individuals must understand how to handle RF components, such as couplers, waveguides, adapters, etc., and be familiar with common RF measurements for digital communications radios to produce accurate and valid results.

They must also ensure test racks are calibrated properly. The individuals must be cognizant of how to handle space-grade hardware.


Requirements and Responsibilities:
Execute shock, vibe, thermal, and TVAC test campaigns.
Execute prescribed HALT, ALT, and HASS campaigns.
Manage and maintain testers, including ensuring calibration.
Coordinate with Test Execution Lead for conducting all test campaigns.
Provide regular test execution status.
Report any blocking issues and work on mitigations.
Support commissioning of racks
Support debug of failures in units with coordinating engineers.
Individuals will generate test reports and share these results with Purchaser team members.
This individual will be responsible for adding features to existing test racks. Needs to work with internal test automation development lead to schedule and implement updates and features.
Experience with developing in Windows and Linux Architect and build software to automate hardware test systems using Python Develop software infrastructure to support test case execution (NI Test Stand, Keysight OpenTAP)
Experience with version control software tools (Git, SVN, etc)
Enable automated data collection, data analysis.
Experience with power supplies and RF measurement equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, Power Sensor, Vector, Network Analyzer, etc
