    What Will You Be Doing?

    Represents the Safety Department on behalf of the Flight Operations Division of Frontier Airlines Inc. Managing the collection and analysis of all safety related Flight Operations data feeds such as FOQA, ASAP, Employee reporting and internal audit findings. Proactively identify operational safety deficiencies and disseminates this information to the VP of Flight Operations and Director of Safety.

    Essential Functions
    • Oversee data collection processes on Airbus fleet in conjunction with Maintenance and Technical Services organization.
    • Lead internal program audits per Part 5 SMS
    • Act as the Flight Operations Lead Auditor during IOSA renewals
    • SMS Data Analysis Group team lead
    • Coordinate and perform Safety Risk Management per Part 5 for Flight Operations
    • Perform root cause analysis and determine corrective action recommendations in response to adverse events or trends.
    • Assist Flight Operations senior leadership conduct investigations on high profile events to determine root cause and identify corrective actions
    • Provide data and root cause analysis on engineering events to Maintenance and Engineering organization.
    • Evaluate new technologies to enhance safety programs within Flight Operations.
    • Compile and present safety related data summaries for use by senior leadership, regulators, pilots, and union officials.
    Other Functions
    • Coordinating with other airlines Safety departments, governmental and academic institutions regarding Safety.
    Qualifications
    • 5 years of experience in flight safety required
    • Bachelor degree in aviation safety, or engineering-related field required. Master's degree preferred
    • Must be capable of managing sensitive data responsibly
    • Experience with flight monitoring software and analysis preferred
    • SMS Experience preferred
    • Auditing Experience preferred
    • Project management experience preferred
    • Pilot, A&P, or Dispatch experience helpful.
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Knowledge in computer systems and programs including database management.
    • Knowledge of aircraft systems, instrument flight, aviation terminology, and federal aviation regulations.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs, including database, spreadsheet and presentation programs.
    • Ability to perform statistical analysis and audits.
    • Proficient verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
    Equipment Operated
    • Computer workstation and normal office equipment.
    Work Environment
    • Will need to travel occasionally to industry presentations and conferences.
    Physical Effort

    Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.

    Supervision Received

    General Supervision:The incumbent performs a variety of routine work within established policies and procedures and receives detailed instructions on new projects and assignments.

    Salary Range: $72,000 - $96,331
