    We are looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Green waste of Tehama Landfill in Red Bluff, California.

    JOB TITLE: Heavy Equipment Mechanic
    COMPANY: Green waste of Tehama Landfill

    JOB SUMMARY:
    Carry out scheduled maintenance and various repairs on heavy equipment, trucks, and support equipment at the landfill site.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Diagnose and repair heavy equipment and trucks effectively.
    • Proficient in diagnosing and fixing electrical, hydraulic, engine, transmission, and brake components.
    • Utilize computer skills, specifically Caterpillar E.T. program.
    • Adhere to safety protocols set by Caterpillar and Waste Connections Inc.
    • Complete daily work orders and inspection reports accurately.
    • Order parts and fabricate or weld as necessary.
    • Report issues to the supervisor promptly.
    • Maintain cleanliness in the work area.

    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
    • Ability to work with safety gear.
    • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
    • Competent in reading and interpreting manuals.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Basic math skills.
    • ASE Certification is a bonus.
    • Valid Driver's License.
    • Willingness to work weekends.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    • Requires physical strength to lift and move heavy equipment.
