- Lead the overall financial strategy for the manufacturing of defense parachutes, including cost accounting, inventory analysis, and budgeting.
- Implement robust financial systems and controls to ensure accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with government regulations, and alignment with industry-specific financial practices.
- Manage the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
- Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow for administration, existing programs, and proposed new sites.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, production variances, and the company's actual performance compared to the business plans.
- Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and non-organizational accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities.
- Monitor risk management policies and procedures to ensure that program and organizational risks are minimized.
- Advise on the financial implications of business activities, strategic planning, and conduct cost-benefit analyses to compare operating programs, review financial requests, or explore alternative financing methods.
- Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes.

Financial Controller - Defense Manufacturing (Parachute Industry)We are currently seeking a Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations within the defense manufacturing sector, specifically focusing on the parachute industry.
The ideal candidate will bring a strategic financial perspective to the manufacturing processes, ensuring cost-effective production without compromising quality and compliance with defense contracting standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a financial leadership role, preferably in defense manufacturing or a related industry.
Extensive experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment; specific knowledge of the parachute industry being highly desirable.
Strong understanding of Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) compliance, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
Proven experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent leadership abilities with a track record of managing a financial team.
Proficiency with financial software and advanced skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
The role requires a U.S. citizenship.
Previous experience in a defense contracting environment is required, and a deep understanding of the unique financial challenges in the defense parachute manufacturing sector is highly preferred.
