A prestigious aerospace/defense company in Hauppauge is looking to bring on a Procurement professional to their team.

There's an opportunity for a Buyer to join their team and develop meaningful experience sourcing industrial components for their manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate will manage procurement activities, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.


Responsibilities:
Negotiate and monitor purchase agreements based on company policy for quality, price, and delivery.
Conduct supplier surveys to identify potential new suppliers; survey results influence future procurements.
Utilize knowledge to negotiate the best price according to required specifications.
Prepare requests for quotations and purchase requisitions.
Establish positive relationships with suppliers, adhere strictly to purchasing policies, and possess relevant skills and compliance knowledge.

Requirements :
Associates degree minimum, Bachelor's degree preferred
2+ years of experience of electronics purchasing in a manufacturing setting
Proficient in procurement services vital to business success
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent negotiation skills for communicating prices and contract terms
