    Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Sleep Center Manager, performs polysomnograms and related diagnostic tests for patients in cooperation with the referring Physician.

    Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications:

    Licensure: N/A

    Experience: Six months of previous healthcare experience.

    Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED).

    Registration/Certification:
    • Must enroll in, and complete the A-STEP self-study modules within 1 year or hire, and;
    • Must successfully gain one of the following registry credentials;
      • RST
      • RPSGT
      • RRT
      • Certification by the American Heart Association in Basic Cardiac Life Support within three months of hire.
    Job Knowledge & Skills: Demonstrates working knowledge of various polysomnographic procedures and techniques, equipment utilized and applicable regulations within three months of hire.

    Requires strong analytical and organizational skills to perform various polysomnographic tests, monitor patient throughout process and document related activity thoroughly and accurately to provide desired levels of service to the physician and patient.

    Demonstrates well developed interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with all internal and external unit customers, as needed.

    Demonstrates working knowledge of the English language, verbal and written.
