    is currently in search of a Training and Development Specialist for our corporate office located in Commerce, CA. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive pay rate, benefits, and a wonderful company culture.

    This is a remote position but at times will require in office work days within our corporate office.

    Summary/Objective
    The Training and Development Specialist will create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs for employees. A successful candidate will be passionate about learning and excited about the prospect of leading by example.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    Specific job tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Uses instructional design models to analyze current needs, designs and implementation strategies to evaluate the delivery of current and future training programs.

    Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees.

    Determines instructional goals and objectives for each learning project, develops, and evaluates strategies targeted for attaining the project or learning outcomes and goals.

    Identifies user needs, analyzes and logically organizes complex technical information and transforms it into professionally designed, engaging, and effective programs.

    Researches course matter by interviewing subject matter experts, consulting management/ industry experts and relevant areas of source material.
    Develops unique training programs to fulfill workers specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
    Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
    Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
    Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
    Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
    Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
    Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.

    Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

    Able to work under conditions of ambiguity.
    Performs other related duties as required.


    QUALIFICATIONS
    Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or a related field required.
    At least four years of training and development experience required.
    Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
    Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System
    Visual design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and ability to storyboard
    Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
    Knowledgeable with industry standard design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Storyline and Captivate)
