Auto Dismantler / Production Team Member Automotive

Job Summary:
In this role as Auto Dismantler / Production Team Member Automotive, you will process incoming vehicles, prepare them for the yard and perform dismantling procedures


Specific Job Duties:

Intake the new vehicles into the yard Remove harmful components from the cars to prepare them for the yard Remove all top/bottom fluids and capture and store in the proper storage containers Remove batteries, mercury switches and Freon.

Store according to environmental requirementsLoosen tire lug nuts for tire removal. Identifying top grade tires and wheel sets for retail salesEnsure all garbage and non-sellable items are removed from the vehiclesSort all recycled material from landfill materialMark all vehicles properly according to procedure after removal of fluids, parts and trashPrep and clean yard rows for setting - Safely set vehicles in the customer yardOperate forklift to place cars for safe customer access Remove identified auto parts, cores, metals and materials from vehicles Maintain tools and equipment used to perform the job, reporting missing or damaged tools or equipment to the supervisor Required Skills & Qualifications:Able to use auto dismantling equipment / operate tools - hand tools, pneumatic tools, fluid evacuation machines, hand pumps Able to lift tires and batteries weighing up to 50 lbsReliable transportation to work and reliability to arrive on time and work a consistent schedule Must be able to read, write, and speak EnglishBilingual Spanish (desired, not required)

Previous experience with auto production, vehicle dismantling, auto yard (desired, not required)Experience operating a forklift (desired, not required) Pay:
$16.50 an hour starting pay, hourly. Includes potential for overtime and tons of room for increasesYou will be provided with Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, life insurance at no cost to you, paid vacation and sick leave.
