- Under the direction of Information Security team leaders, take on entry level Information Security tasks to grow knowledge and contribution capabilities. These tasks may include the following:
- Assist in conducting security assessments and evaluations of systems, applications, and networks.
- Review and analyze security controls to ensure they meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate controls and remediation strategies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Provide support in the evaluation of security incidents and help identify root causes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of security assessments and evaluations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide security guidance and support.
- Stay current with emerging threats and vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
- Some college work or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field is desired.
- No years of work experience in cybersecurity or related field is required, but any training or exposure to cybersecurity in school or other activities is helpful.
- Familiarity with industry security standards and regulatory requirements is helpful, but not required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
- Attention to details and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications, such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP are a plus but not required.
