    Summary

    The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records through the preparation of financial reports, managing all accounts payable and receivable, maintaining the general ledger, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with audit preparations.

    This position will directly support the Controller and work in collaboration with the accounting and finance team. This role is unique in that it will support the enterprise-wide implementation of NetSuite ERP system. The right candidate will be self-directed and possess a solid financial background and sharp analytical skills.

    Responsibilities


    Collaborate cross-functionally to facilitate the successful integration of NetSuite ERP system into the financial operations of the company, ensuring alignment with business requirements and objectives.

    Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
    Manage the month-end process and recommend ways to reduce the close timeline.
    Reconcile general ledger accounts each month, quarter, and year to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
    Analyze revenue and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis in accordance with US GAAP.
    Compile, analyze, and report any variances on financial statements and month-end reporting.
    Summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
    Perform monthly bank reconciliations.

    Assist with audits, including preparing work papers for the auditors and analyzing data; collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.

    Assists with the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns.
    Perform various ad hoc projects as requested.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another related field; or equivalent experience as an Accountant
    3-5 years of accounting experience
    Proficiency in NetSuite ERP
    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formula creation, pivot tables, and data analysis.
    Experience in month-end close processes, bank reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and financial reporting standards.
    Experience in lender/investor reporting and presentations.
    Familiarity with budgeting and cash forecasting techniques.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
    Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
