    Director of Natural Resources Locations in Inland Empire Greater Los Angeles | San Diego :

    A small established, growth oriented Environmental consulting company has an immediate need for an experienced leader to oversee, manage, and grow the Natural Resources division of this dynamic company. Must have both technical and business oriented skills which include business development, team mentorship/management, and a driven entrepreneurial spirit.

    Qualifications:

    • Environmental consulting experience including operations, P&L management, business development, and team leadership.

    • Have experience with CA based utilities.

    Responsibilities:


    • You will oversee and develop a small team, identifying and onboarding new hires in addition to mentoring the existing team of biologists throughout California


    • Drive technical reporting and project oversight ensure the team is meeting quality standards


    • Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients and referral partners (including construction firms, biological companies, government municipalities, and industry associations)


    • Attend industry association meetings and networking events to market the company and further the company brand

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Ecology, Biology, Fish and Wildlife Science, Natural Resource Science or related field.
    • Secondary degree in Business, Marketing, Business Administration is also preferred but not required.
    • Has industry experience with environmental construction permitting (NEPA/CEQA) and can contribute to the proposal process, oversee regulatory matters, manage projects/project managers, and provide strategic guidance to the team

    This role is based in Southern California. Travel is anticipated and will be frequent, throughout the region.
