    Optomi, in partnership with a leading healthcare organization, are in search for a Field Technician/Engineer to report into their Dallas, Texas office. This candidate would be in a year long contract with the client, with intent to potentially convert or extend. The candidate will be entrusted with advanced technical support and planning for converting Ambulatory Surgery Centers over to the clients network and systems. They will work with a counterpart and be a decision-maker, playing a pivotal role in the operations. In addition, they will work closely with the IT team at our corporate and local facility leadership to coordinate IT-related activities and projects at each location. This person will work on support tickets and help the other techs who are currently on deployments when not traveling.

    Primary Duties:

    • Providing professional support of an IT infrastructure that includes Windows desktops, LAN, MS server environment, phone systems, clinical systems, and other related technology determined by the business and compliance with established IT standards and protocols.
    • Must have a high degree of flexibility.
    • Able to collaborate with senior management to plan, coordinate, and execute projects within defined timelines.
    • Able to manage vendor relationships and vendors onsite performing work.

    Daily responsibilities will include:

    • Troubleshooting technical issues with software, hardware, networks, phone systems, and clinical systems.
    • Providing technical support for Windows 10/11 and Office 2013, 2016, and O365.
    • Providing software support for locally hosted applications and critical systems such as Patient Accounting Systems.
    • Working with technology vendors in support of the facility.
    • Working in partnership with centralized IT in support of the facility.
    • Serving as a technical liaison for the facility with outside parties.
    • Adhering to IT support processes and security requirements.
    • Providing project coordination for the facility's IT projects.

    A qualified candidate will have a professional demeanor, communicate well with others, handle rapidly changing priorities, and be patient and flexible. The successful candidate will take the initiative to solve and prevent problems that would impact the facility's ability to deliver patient care safely or effects revenue. Strong leadership skills and an ability to work with all levels of employees, from staff to senior-level executives, and all ranges of technical capabilities from novice to expert is a must.

    Requirements:

    • Five years' experience in information systems, telecommunications, and network management.
    • Advanced knowledge of MDF and IDF rooms required.
    • Microsoft Windows Server and desktop support experience is required.
    • Experience providing support in a Citrix environment is a plus.
    • Knowledge off ITIL and project management is preferred.
    • Healthcare experience is a plus, and an understanding of HIPAA and security protocols to protect PHI is a requirement.
    • Travel required (up to 50%).
    • College graduate, equivalent certifications and/or work experience.
