Additionally, this role will involve managing volunteers' recruitment, training, and engagement.

    In supporting our organization's mission, the Grants & Volunteer Manager will play a pivotal role in obtaining grants and nurturing a dynamic volunteer community.


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Volunteer Management


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Grant Management:

    Maintain extensive knowledge of the Club's mission, programs, target population, and strategic vision to enhance the preparation of proposals and written communications.

    Research potential grant opportunities and assess their alignment with organizational goals. Create proposals, grants, and packages for prospective donors/funders with guidance from Operations and Development staff. Submit grant proposals, applications, and reports in a timely manner. Manage relationships with grant-making organizations and donors. Ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting guidelines. Collaborate with various departments to gather information for grant applications.

    Update the department calendar for timely execution of appeals, campaigns, special events, donor media events, grant submissions, stewardship activities, and other relevant tasks within the donor management system.

    Adhere to and update the Development Department Annual Development Plan, incorporating best practices for continuous improvement. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to align BGCSA with the highest standards. Maintain updated proposal attachments in the Fluxx and Grant management system.


    Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement:
    Develop and implement strategies to attract a diverse pool of volunteers, aligning skills and interests with organizational needs. Conduct orientation, training, and supervision for new volunteers. Plan and execute volunteer events, ensuring optimal experiences. Establish and maintain a volunteer recognition program. Regularly assess and enhance volunteer satisfaction and engagement. Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities, generating reports for the executive team. Collaborate with club management to identify meaningful volunteer opportunities aligned with programmatic activities.


    Collaboration and Communication:
    Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, volunteers, and external partners. Coordinate with program leadership to identify and prioritize project needs, ensuring achievable outcome requirements are communicated. Conduct monthly meetings to update the team on current proposals, requesting support as needed. Ensure follow-through on grant-related deliverables and collect timely data and evaluations for donor communication. Coordinate with the Development Team for funding award acknowledgments and gather outcomes/data for reporting.


    Grant Budgeting and Financial Management:
    Monitor grant expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines. Identify opportunities for financial sustainability through grants. Collaborate with the finance team on grant budgets and financial reports.


    Special Events:
    Assist the development team with major fundraising and volunteer events as needed. Plan and execute annual Reindeer Brigade, managing timelines and schedules. Serve as the main point of contact for Reindeer Brigade-related inquiries and coordinate with managers for support.

    QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Communications, etc.).Five years of experience in grant writing, management, and reporting.

    Strong organizational and project management skills.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    Familiarity with fundraising platforms and grant management tools is a plus.
