Description

Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers, approximately 10-20 associates. Plan and prioritize production schedules to meet customer requirements and deadlines. Monitor workflow to ensure efficient utilization of resources and timely completion of projects.
Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Collaborate with engineering, planning, purchasing, and quality assurance teams to resolve production-related issues and implement process improvements.
Maintain inventory levels of materials and supplies required for production activities. Create purchase orders and requisitions when required. Monitor and analyze production metrics such as productivity, yield, and quality to identify areas for improvement.
Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate workflow and address any cross-functional issues.
Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with factory policies and quality standards.
Prepare reports and documentation related to production activities, including performance metrics, inventory levels, and safety incidents. Lead or participate in department Kaizen events to solve the root-cause of production deficiencies.
Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesQualifications:
Previous experience (5+ years) in a manufacturing or job shop environment, with exposure to welding, machining, and assembly operations.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot production issues effectively.
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and ERP systems.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Comfortable spending up to 75% of the day on the shop floor, maintaining the production flow by monitoring progress and troubleshooting issues.
Physically capable of standing/walking up to 75% of the shift, frequent bending, able to lift up to 25 lbs infrequently as needed.
Prefers a dynamic environment.Product is high-mix, low-volume, and the right candidate will thrive in a non-defined environment where they have the freedom to creatively solve problems regarding engineering, purchasing, quality, scheduling, and staffing.
