Job description
The developer's role is to complete the build, connect all third-party integrations, and deliver a fully functional, launch-ready mobile application.
App Construction- Build all 11 screens of the app in the Mobile editor using the provided interactive prototype as the visual reference
- Configure all 6 database data types with correct field types, privacy rules, and relationships
Wire all workflows:
user registration, pet creation, alert creation, sighting submission, and mark-as-found
- Implement conditional visibility for owner vs. community member views on the alert detail screen
- Build the 4-step report-lost wizard with custom state management between steps
- Google Maps API — live map with LOST/FOUND pins, address autocomplete, tap-to-pin sighting map, geocoding
- OneSignal — push notifications to nearby users on alert creation, to owner on sighting submission
SendGrid — transactional emails:
welcome, alert confirmation, sighting notification, found celebration
- Stripe — premium subscription with success state updating the user's is_premium field
- AKC Reunite API — microchip lookup on alert detail page (fallback to PetLink API if access denied)
- Test all core flows on iPhone Safari and Android Chrome before handover
- Provide preview URL for owner testing and approval at each milestone
- Transfer full Bubble editor access to owner account before final payment is released
- Provide written documentation of all workflows and database structure on handover
- Experience with for wrapping Bubble PWA into native App Store app
- Experience with Bubble backend workflows and API connector plugin
- Previous work on community, marketplace, or location-based apps
- Experience with PWA (Progressive Web App) configuration in Bubble
- Familiarity with AKC Reunite or PetLink microchip database APIs
Expertise
- Minimum 2 completed Mobile apps in your portfolio — live preview URLs required
- Demonstrated experience with Repeating Groups, custom states, and URL parameter-based page data
- Demonstrated experience building multi-step wizard forms in Bubble Mobile
- Understanding of Bubble privacy rules and data security
- Has personally connected Google Maps API in a Bubble app before (not just web maps — mobile map with moveable pins)
- Has personally connected OneSignal push notifications in Bubble before
- Has personally built Stripe subscriptions in Bubble before
- Experience with SendGrid or equivalent transactional email service in Bubble
