    True Value Company has an amazing opportunity for an Associate HR Generalist at our Corsicana, TX Distribution Center.

    Under direct supervision, supports daily operations of the human resources (HR) department including recruitment, pay administration, benefits, leaves, and administration and implementation of company policies and procedures. Collects and maintains HR data related to compensation, benefits, training, recruitment etc., and help make recommendations for process improvement. Communicates effectively on topics related to compensation, benefits, and company policies. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.

    Scheduled Days: Monday through Friday

    Annual Salary Range: $55,000 - $63,000 *** based on experience and qualifications

    Incentive: This position is eligible to participate in the Company's Incentive Plan. Incentive target will be 10% of your annualized eligible earnings.

    Responsibilities (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).

    1. Liaises with field recruiter with primary focus on recruiting, onboarding, orientation and offboarding. Supports the hiring of qualified (internal/external) applicants. Collaborates with managers to understand hiring needs, including skills and competencies required, for job openings.

    2. Process payroll and time and attendance data for hourly associates to ensure accuracy. Maintains and monitors associate records to ensure completion and accuracy of details. Accountable for HR compliance, e.g. I-9 audits, payroll audits, and other internal/external requirements.

    3. Supports implementation and facilitates new hire orientation program and maintains positive associate relations. Conducts exit interviews, highlight the insights derived from data and provide recommendations to leadership team for continuous improvement.

    4. Responds to employment related inquiries from applicants, associates, supervisors, and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR Level. Liaises with corporate benefit's team and assists with the administration of associate benefits.

    5. Supports and attends key associate meetings, e.g., coaching/counseling, terminations, promotion etc., and partners with the HR Manager for gathering and/or reviewing relevant data for these meetings. Partners with HRM in the performance management process, for e.g., Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) and Individual Development Plan (IDP).

    6. Reviews HR policies and practices and ensures compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations. Manages and tracks LOA (FMLA, W/C and ADA) related matters, discipline files, associate complaints with possible investigation, and training and development. Refers complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR level.

    7. Understands and communicates various HR laws, policies and practices with associates and leaders. Maintains knowledge of regulatory changes and employment law and observe trends in these areas. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

    Education & Experience

    · Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

    · 1-3 years of experience, preferably in human resources, retail and/or wholesale.

    · Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

    Work Environment: Generally, works in climate-controlled office environment.

    Travel: 0 – 10% travel required by car or plan to corporate office or local events.
