    Job Description

    Responsible for the effective leadership, strategic plan for growth, optimal operational and financial performance (time, cost/financial, quality) in the delivery of projects/programs across AES.

    Creates a high performance, collaborative culture through leadership, direction and coaching across Project Delivery, working effectively with Patient Recruitment and the Site Network.

    Sets vision and creates strategies for resourcing, developing and retaining necessary skills, capabilities and talent to achieve short, and long-term operational plans.

    Partners and collaborates to deliver strategies and achieve strong client and (internal/external) stakeholder relationships that help realize PPDs strategic goals.

    Includes partnering with Business Development, Patient Recruitment, Site Network, Medical Operations and other internal departments to secure new and manage existing business, promote client centricity and enhance differentiation.


    • Leadership of global project management in the timely delivery of client projects/programs, focusing on profitability, quality, preventative risk management and mitigation and client satisfaction.
    • Leadership of global site startup, focusing on expedited, efficient site readiness and activation to support patient trial enrollment.
    • Collaborates with centralized resourcing to plan, strategize and achieve effective forecast, allocation and operational resourcing.
    • Develops a strategic plan to achieve growth of therapeutic area, including expanding the number of indications, projects and clients.
    • Provides transformational leadership, collaborates across AES and PPD matrix, champions and creates client centric and continuous improvement focused strategies, plans and processes to support client needs and therapeutic area differentiation to enhance AES competive positioning.
    • Fosters operational excellence through evaluating metrics, develop performance improvements and deepen insights that translate into operational efficiencies.
    • Accountable for leadership, direction and resource management of Project Delivery staff. Creates short and longer-term plans that enable staff skills, capability and talent development. Effective recruitment, retention, performance management, talent development, coaching and succession planning.
    • Is an ambassador in demonstrating AES leadership behaviors, creates a high performance, collaborative culture through vision, leadership, direction and coaching.
    • Provides management & strategic direction to the business operation/corporate function. Participates with senior leadership in developing and authorizing the implementation of strategic business plans.

    Education and Experience:

    • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 15+ years).
    • 10+ years of management responsibility
