    Up to $10K Sign On Bonus

    The Mammography Technologist performs specialized examinations of the breast to help in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease.

  • Prepares patients and performs screening or diagnostic exams as ordered by physicians. Also responsible for performing bone densitometry studies.
  • Produces high quality images with appropriate comparison studies as indicated to the Radiologist in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates a high level of technical competency (utilization of imaging system and safe operating procedures) and clinical competency (patient positioning, knowledge of anatomy/physiology) in performing all exams/ procedures.

The Fauquier Health system offers patient care for a variety of specialty services including Orthopedics and Spine, a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and robotic-assisted surgery. The fourth floor of the hospital is devoted to our Family Birthing Center and Intermediate Care Nursery.

    Minimum Education
    □ Graduate from an Accredited Program in one or more medical imaging modalities as described below. (Relevant certifications listed below accepted as documentation)

    Minimum Work Experience
    Preferred - 1+ years of experience as a registered technologist in the appropriate modality

    Required Skills
    Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

    Certifications:
    X Basic Life Support (BLS)
    X Certified in good standing with appropriate professional registry

    Certified in good standing with appropriate professional registry:

    • Mammography: Certified as Radiology Technologist ( Or become ARRT Mammography Registered within 12 mos. of hire)
