    Description

    The Manager - Food and Nutritional Services serves as a consummate professional responsible for impacting the overall satisfaction of our patients by managing the daily operations of the food services department at Carolina House. The Manager - Food and Nutritional Services is a dynamic position within our facility in delivering exceptional patient care and directly impacting/improving the lives of individuals and families in crisis.

    Functions include, but not limited to:

  • Works in partnership with Dietitian and clinical leadership to plan menus that offer patients a nutritionally balanced and appetizing variety.
  • Provide direct supervision of food services staff including, hiring, development/training, and communication to ensure efficient and proficient food services department.
  • Analyze food costs and assist with departmental budget issues.

  • Educational/Licensure/Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in food service management or culinary arts degree
  • Four (4) or more years' experience in food services with two (2) + years' experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • SERV Safe Certification or similar food safety certification required.
  • Registered Dietitian or Certified Dietary Manager preferred.
