Primary Purpose of Department:The Office of OneIT provides highly reliable information technology infrastructure, tools, and services to empower the University to achieve its academic, research, administrative, and service goals.
Primary Purpose of Position:This position is primarily responsible for the tier 2 support of systems and services provided by the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. This often requires interfacing with campus clients and utilizing a breadth of knowledge to resolve issues in a timely manner. The person in this position should be comfortable with the concepts of identity lifecycle, authentication, and authorization.
Systems and services supported by IAM include cloud-based solutions, such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office365, as well as systems maintained on-premise used for provisioning of user accounts, single sign-on authentication, and access control.
Knowledge and proficiency in scripting languages used to perform operational tasks is required. The ability to communicate effectively with both campus clients as well as subject-matter experts is a must.
Respond and troubleshoot escalated support requests in coordination with campus client and subject-matter experts.
Assist in the management and development of systems and services provided to campus by the Identity and Access Management team.
Bachelor's degree plus 2-4 years of relevant work experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
