    Emergency Communications Center Operations Manager
    Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Emergency Communications Center Operations Manager to work in our Emergency Communications Department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.
    schedule located out of our Research Education Campus with every other Friday off.

    The Emergency Communications Center (ECC) Operations Manager is responsible for the direct management of the INL Emergency Communication Center (ECC).

    The position will lead the ECC Supervisors to provide coordination, control, and consistency to Idaho National Laboratory (INL) security and emergency communications services.


    Responsibilities Include:


    The ECC Operations Manager will ensure that ECC dispatchers, operators, and supervisors are equipped and prepared to perform their duties in a manner consistent with department expectations and INL core values.

    You will set clear roles and responsibilities for each duty area in the ECC and hold personnel accountable through recognition and reward of desired behaviors and correction of unsatisfactory performance and outcomes.

    The ECC Operations Manager knows, communicating, exemplifying, and instilling INL core values.

    You will work at the direction of the Emergency Communications Department Manager to help deploy emergency communications capabilities to support and enable the missions of INL, including all site contractors and mutual aid partners.

    The ECC Operations Manager will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ECC systems and capabilities, provide guidance, and make recommendations on issues and decisions relating to the ECC and other mission improvements.

    The ECC Operations Manager will evaluate the effectiveness and necessity of ECC systems, and protocols, and the quality of ECC services.

    This position will maintain all necessary qualifications and proficiencies to fill the operational role of ECC Supervisor when needed. You will stay abreast of industry standards, trends, and new technologies.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree and 7 years of related experience, or an Advanced Degree and 5 years related experience.
    • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of technical systems and operations related to the following areas: emergency management, security central alarm stations, transportation tracking systems, proprietary fire alarm monitoring systems, emergency dispatch and communications, fire-medical and special operations deployment and emergency response.
    • Security, law enforcement, fire department, or emergency communications operations and leadership experience.
    • Must have 3 years to 5 years of progressive management experience
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain HRP certification
    • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

    Job Information:

    • Salary Grade: MR $110,316 - $181,956)
