- Perform regular preventive maintenance on various heavy equipment including forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, cranes, and loaders
- Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve potential equipment issues before they become major problems
- Maintain detailed records of performed maintenance and repairs for future reference
- Collaborate with equipment operators and other technicians to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions in a timely manner
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment components, such as engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems, for repairs or replacements
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations during maintenance and repair procedures
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in equipment maintenance techniques through training sessions
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience as an equipment maintenance technician in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operations and maintenance
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to equipment maintenance
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license
