    We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join our Quoting Management Team in USRM Business Lines (BL) Technology.

    You will have the opportunity to leverage your skills with cloud-based technology to build tools and solutions used to support new and innovative business lines insurance products.

    You will work on a modern technology stack consisting of Java, SpringBoot, Cloud Foundry, and AWS.The BL Quoting Management Team is responsible for the applications that manage the quoting lifecycle of the modern eCLIQ Simple Products.

    They are currently working to create new systems with modern architectures to augment the platforms that support our traditional business lines products.

    As part of the USRM organization you will part of a team architecting solutions that will facilitate world class experiences for our customers and agents.

    We are well on our way to releasing the next generation of commercial products and systems and need a capable software engineer to aid us in accomplishing this task that will positively impact Liberty Mutual for years to come.


    In this role you will:
    Work with product owners, and other engineers to iteratively create software that meets business and technical requirements.

    Be part of a team which designs and delivers world class software productsUse Java, Spring Boot, and Angular to develop cloud-hosted, API First, web applications.

    Handle end-to-end development, including coding,testing, and debuggingAnalyze defects, and design and implement effective solutionsCreate and maintain technical documentationDevelop automated tests for multiple scopes (Unit, System, Integration, Regression)Mentor less experienced developers10% Travel Maybe Required

    Qualifications


    A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experienceA minimum of five years of software engineering experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Angular to develop cloud-hosted, API First, AWS.

    spanning horizontal and vertical packagesA background in business operations and strategies, with a focus on business ITA history of translating client requirements into technical designsAgile engineering capabilities and a design-thinking mindsetCollaboration, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to manage time and prioritize work with a globally distributed development teamStrong oral and written communication skills - and a knack for explaining your decision-making process to non-engineers A thorough grasp of IT concepts, business operations, design and development tools, system architecture and technical standards, shared software concepts and layered solutions and designs An understanding of how modifications affect different parts of a system and an ability to explain your decision-making process to non-engineers
