Graphic DesignerSummary:
This role designs, creates, and oversees art projects in support of the company's marketing objectives. Responsible for the overall quality of creative projects including product packaging, catalogs, advertising, brochures, websites, video, and e-newsletters.
Requires good project management skills, a solid understanding of the printing process, and a high level of knowledge of design tools, such as Adobe InDesign.
Needs a strong understanding of Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and a willingness to learn new technologies. must have good time management skills to meet deadlines and excellent collaboration skills.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
Translate marketing objectives into creative strategiesConcept complex collateral and marketing projects considering objectives, cost, brand standards, communications goals and design principles to deliver strategic solutions
Ensures adherence to brand guidelines and consistency of design, establishing brand standards when needed
Conceive of projects as campaigns across various media
Manage creative projects from concept to completionDetermines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, selects style and size of type, and arranges layout based on knowledge of design principles and aesthetic design concepts
Manage multiple projects, short timelines, and requests for revisions without losing sight of priorities.
Responsible for the development of product packaging
Develops iconography, logos and other graphics
Assist in the development of processes and policies to increase efficiency and save costs
Update and maintain digital photography, brand, and project files
Use current graphic design software, Product Information Management and Digital Asset Management to optimize artwork and improve efficiencyHands-on skills should include Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
Familiar with the concept of a PIM system and how it can be used for validating Product information in Marketing Materials.
Experience with Agility PIM or similar PIM is a plusExperience with email or HTML programs
Responsible for visual execution of corporate communications
Support a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and flexibility.

Develop visually innovative solutions to marketing and sales challenges
Note:
This position requires both independent judgment of artistic design and the ability to positively implement direction from others.
Travel and attendance at company functions including trade shows, exhibits, and industry seminars is sometimes required at the company's discretion.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or some formal coursework with at least three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
