    Description
    Title:

    Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Danbury Hospital Nuclear Cardiology - Per Diem 8 hour shifts, Monday- Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

    Summary: The utilization of radiopharmaceuticals and related instruments to measure their concentration in various organ systems for the diagnosis and treatment of specific pathological disorders.

    Responsibilities:


    • Knowledge and ability to perform and teach nuclear medicine procedures.
    • Proper interpersonal relations between physicians, co-workers and patients and monitoring of patients during tests.
    • Performs radiopharmaceutical ordering receipt surveying preparation. Dispersal and disposition.
    • Quality control and operation of nuclear medicine instruments during scheduled and on call hours.
    • Adherence to ALARA and radiation safety rules and regulations.
    • Relating to and caring for patients.
    • Scheduling, record keeping, proper phone etiquette, retrieval and archival of procedure records.
    • Achieves the organization's established expectations regarding quality service, team work and staff development.
    • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    Required:
    Associate's Degree.

    Minimum Experience:
    zero to six months. ARRT or NMTCB certification.

    Required:

    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Specialty Certification.

    Salary Range:
    $ $ Hourly
