    Automotive General Sales Manager
    Full-Time Opportunity: 5/6 Day Work Week
    Weekend Availability

    Achieves this primarily through effective personnel management, understanding market potential, adherence to established performance standards, and a keen awareness of departmental break-even data.

    Hiring, training, supervising, and monitoring the performance of new and used vehicle department managers.

    Participating in the preparation of the annual dealership forecast by projecting unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profits for both new and used sales departments.

    Setting annual and monthly objectives for unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profit in collaboration with sales managers.

    Ensuring sales managers understand dealership policies, procedures, and sales systems.
    Establishing standards for displaying, merchandising, and maintaining new and used vehicles.
    Issuing all demonstrators and maintaining appropriate dealership records.
    Meeting with the general manager to review monthly forecasts, commission sheets, productivity reports, and departmental profit performance.

    Analyzing local market conditions, demographics, and past sales history to make recommendations for advertising plans, sales promotions, staffing needs, lease promotions, and compensation plans.

    Conducting major sales promotions and advertising as needed.
    Approving all sales incentives in writing before submission to the office.
    Addressing customer complaints to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
    Establishing systems for ongoing sales training, including weekly sales meetings.
    Ensuring the facility is secure, well-lit, and presents a professional appearance.
