TITLE: Quality Control Manager

LOCATION: Philadelphia, PA
ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: 100% on site
START DATE: April/May 2024
SHIFT: M-F, 1 st shift with weekends on an as-needed basis

We are looking for a Quality Control Manager to assist with our fresh and frozen meats division. We are a USDA/SQF environment, and you must have experience working in both.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage a team of 10+ quality control analysts.
• Run the existing playbook that we have while finding improvements and adding to it. We are not looking for a full rebuild of our processes, however we would like you to add to our existing framework.
• Ensure that the plant is always fully compliant with USDA and SQF and interface with regulators.
• Oversee the annual SQF audit and conduct regular audits to find areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with the Safety Committee to implement improvements.
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Two+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of USDA regulations and SQF standards or equivalent certification.
• Track record of developing and elevating a Quality Control Department.
• Strong communication, leadership, and team management skills.
• Ability to conduct in-depth risk assessments, audits, and inspections.
