Dermatology Medical Assistant Needed

Exceptional Recruiting is seeking a Dermatology trained Medical Assistant for a direct hire job opportunity with a large 3 location practice who provides general, cosmetic, MOHS, and aesthetics. This employee will work in Covington,

***This position works 4 x 10/hr days/week and employee is attached to a single provider. You must be able to work 4 days per week 6:45-5:15pm. You will have one set weekday off each week that coincides with the doctors day off.

Responsibilities:

• Handle administrative duties such as calling in prescriptions, triaging phone calls, and referring patient questions to the provider in a timely manner.
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as patient preparation, taking patient histories, scribing the visit, vitals, ensuring a sterile field, setting up surgical trays, numbing patients, patient education, and whatever is needed to support clinic staff, patient, and the physician.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and clean and stock for the next patient afterwards
• Document all information into EMR system
• Provide all patients with quality customer service and compassionate care regardless of socioeconomic and racial background.
• Perform tasks proactively while working with urgency.
• Work effectively and efficiently with coworkers/supervisors to ensure a cohesive team environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous Medical Assistant experience in Dermatology is desired, but not required
• Pre - Physician Assistant and pre Med school students encouraged to apply
• Familiarity with EMR, Next tech Preferred, but not required
• Ability to work 4 days per week 6:45-5:15pm. You will have one set weekday off each week.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Experience performing clinical medical skills within a clinic environment.
• Strong organizational skills with an ability to problem solve.
• Solid references showing good attendance, reliability and dependability in previous positions.
• Polish, professionalism, exceptional customer service and effective communication skills required
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass background checks

Pay depends upon experience. Competitive benefit package will be provided.
