    Description:

    The Color Development Technician collaborates closely with chemists and clients to create and customize color shades and formulations. Their responsibilities encompass actively participating in shade-matching sessions, efficiently managing laboratory operations, and organizing raw materials. This role involves maintaining the color library, adjusting formulations based on client feedback, and ensuring compliance with company standards while fostering communication with global laboratories. Additionally, they validate and rectify formulas for accuracy, coordinate tests with worldwide laboratories, and oversee the seamless transfer of developed formulas to the production site. The technician's tasks include regular documentation, utilizing software tools for data management and presentation, and effective communication with clients, internal teams, and global laboratories, all contributing to the success of color development projects.

    • Collaborate closely with chemists and clients in developing new color shades and customizing formulations according to client requirements.
    • Participate actively in shade-matching sessions and assist in the customization of formulas during client engagements.
    • Contribute to the efficient organization and management of laboratory operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning.
    • Efficiently manage and organize all raw materials in the laboratory to support formulation activities.
    • Maintain and manage the color library for easy accessibility and reference.
    • Make necessary adjustments to formulations based on client feedback while ensuring compliance with company standards and maintaining high-quality standards.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration among global laboratories, fostering effective teamwork with chemists and lab personnel.
    • Validate and rectify formulas as needed to ensure accuracy and reliability in color development.
    • Ensure compliance with internal software systems for project reporting and discussions, adhering to company protocols.
    • Coordinate with diverse laboratories globally to conduct required tests for approved formulas, ensuring consistency and reliability.
    • Guarantee the seamless transfer of all developed formulas to the production site for manufacturing.
    • Regularly document and review weekly activities, presenting findings and updates to senior management.
    • Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiently for data management, documentation, and presentation purposes.
    • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, internal teams, and global laboratories, ensuring smooth collaboration and understanding.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
    • Color perception and color matching skills, Formulation skills in all color cosmetics technologies, raw material knowledge (especially pigments), FDA/ global guidelines
    • Proficiency in computer systems such as DEVEX, BPM and SAP.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, encompassing client meetings and delivering presentations to management.
    • Demonstrated history of effective communication and collaboration with clients and global partners.
    • Proven track record in managing multiple projects concurrently, balancing resources, and meeting deadlines.
    • Blend of creativity and technical proficiency.
    • Self-motivated attitude with a strong inclination towards teamwork within a dynamic work environment.
    • Acquired knowledge of formulation and manufacturing processes coupled with adept problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in fundamental mathematical calculations is required
