    Summary

    The Sr.

    Content Marketing Specialist works as part of a center of excellence within Harbor Marketing around developing and promoting Harbor's brand and products via content and messaging development.

    Additionally, the candidate will have opportunities to collaborate across the organization and externally, with key stakeholders in investments, partner firms, and across Harbor's Distribution, Legal, and Ops teams by activating the content strategy while also supporting content efforts with colleagues.

    The Sr. Content Marketing Specialist will curate and promote Harbor sales and marketing strategies, plans, and programs.

    Candidate is charged with developing, collaborating, and supporting greater ongoing content engagement across multiple platforms to drive ongoing positive client experiences with content resulting in increased awareness, consideration, and eventual commercialization of Harbor solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Curate and produce written and digital communication for Harbor investment solutions, market insights, relevant market/investment topics across all relevant mediums/platforms using the appropriate formats (

    Create Once Publish Everywhere:
    COPE).


    Translate the ideas and opinions of Subject Matter Experts into clear, crisp and compelling content for institutional and retail audiences.

    Project management and production of content to support new product launches and events.

    Responsible for recurring updates of existing content on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.

    Work directly with Distribution Compliance to ensure content is accurate and approved for use.


    Curate and edit a variety of marketing and thought leadership related content intended for a sophisticated, institutional-oriented audience and their end clients including presentations, new product content, e-mail content, portfolio commentaries, thought leadership papers/articles, brochures, and event/webinar content.


    Understand, communicate, and write about market and economic trends about different topics and convey how those trends are impacting Harbor Investment Team (and related subadvisor) strategy.

    Proficient knowledge of Mutual Fund and ETF investments, landscape, and operations.

    Ability to simplify complex investment and financial market topics for external and internal content development and dissemination.

    Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other key stakeholders (external and internal) to curate and drive content/content engagement.


    Candidate will work in tandem with the Customer Growth and Digital teams to ensure content developed is aligned to audience tracks and relevant KPIs.


    Working across the content marketing team to support editorial governance so content is consistent with our brand voice, style and tone.

    Minimum Qualifications

    BA/BS or equivalent

    Proven 5+ years of experience producing marketing content in the investment management/financial services industry

    Experience in project management and leading projects through to completion

    Experience in process management and execution

    Competent understanding of the investment management industry, mutual funds, and ETFs

    Ability to translate the ideas and perspectives of Subject Matter Experts into clear, crisp and compelling content for institutional and retail audiences

    Significant experience working in PowerPoint

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

    Ability and desire to work with very engaged Marketing, Investment, and Executive Committee teams to drive content work forward.

    Project and process management experience

    Ability to present, speak and share ideas to an audience of peers and senior leaders


    Must work collaboratively across Harbor and explore new ways to engage with target audience using content as a strategic asset.

    Responsive yet thoughtful to client/internal requests; advocates for driving content engagement and audience learning and Harbor strategic initiatives equally.

    Seeks to learn and enhance marketing activities (and approach) based on data/results (quantitative/qualitative).
