    Description

    Job Title: SAP Technology Specialist / Engineer at Ford Motor Company


    Integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (I-ERP), Ford's initiative aimed at boosting efficiency and reducing material costs by adopting industry best practices for real-time insights and quicker decision-making. The program entails a complete overhaul of financial and procurement processes, with SAP playing a key role in driving these changes, supporting the I-ERP Plan to report Corporate Finance.


    The I-ERP Program is on the lookout for a SAP Technology Specialist / Engineer to join the team. This role involves various aspects of SAP, including technical design evaluation, implementation, and support for Revenue accounting and reporting business applications within the I-ERP Program. The position will contribute to the rollout in major markets, such as the US & EU, focusing on revenue recognition for Ford's Integrated Services.

    • Understand functional specifications.
    • Develop and implement Program Objects.
    • Support testing integration using S4 platform.
    • Engage in various forms of testing.
    • Implement a robust defect management process within the PDO.
    • Collaborate with functional consultants to address defects.
    • Participate in transforming Finance into a Product Driven Organization using Agile best practices.
    • Assist in the functional integration of strategic initiatives across SAP components.
    • Work closely with the development team for software delivery.
    Responsibilities
    1. SAP RAR Design and Implementation:
      1. Lead SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting solutions design and implementation.
      2. Provide expertise and configuration management.
      3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business processes and data for accurate revenue recognition.
    2. Configuration and Customization:
      1. Configure SAP RAR modules to align with business needs.
      2. Customize SAP RAR functionalities for specific business scenarios.
    3. Reporting:
      1. Lead report development to meet regulatory standards.
      2. Interact with business and report development teams to meet business requirements.
    4. Integration:
      1. Collaborate with SAP integration teams for seamless system integration.
    5. Documentation:
      1. Create and maintain technical documentation for SAP RAR configurations.
    6. Compliance and Best Practices:
      1. Ensure compliance with accounting standards.
    7. Training:
      1. Create training materials and provide support.
    8. Post go-live support:
      1. Offer support for existing and ongoing implementations.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
    • Experience with SAP business applications and methodologies.
    • Knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) and Paired Programming.
    • Proficiency in SAP Platforms, programming, debugging, and analytical skills.
    • Understanding of Big Data and Analytics, as well as SAP S4 platform.
    • Strong communication skills and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
    • Ability to work independently and self-motivated.
