    Overview of the Position:

    Under the direct supervision of the Medical Director, the physician is responsible for the provision of specialized treatment in disorders that affect the endocrine system. This system includes multiple glands throughout the body that can cause problems with reproduction, growth, bone health or metabolism. Some endocrinologists specialize in specific areas of the endocrine system; assessing symptoms and running tests, as well as developing long-term treatment plans.

    Education and Experience:


    • Medical degree(s) appropriate to his/her specialty from an accredited medical college or university


    • Completion of an approved Residency program


    • Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified.

    Required Skills / Abilities:


    • Ability to work cooperatively with patients, health care staff members and administration in the performance of assigned duties


    • Ability to exchange information on factual mattes, communicate in a variety of manners with patients, staff, and explain policies of the Centers


    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form


    • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations


    • Demonstrates the ability to work in a high pressure environment


    • Strong active listening skills, attention to detail, and decision-making skills are required


    • Superior problem- solving abilities is required


    • Ability to collaborate with all departments


    • Ability to show compassion to patients of all backgrounds and social status

    Supervisory Responsibilities:


    • No supervisory responsibilities

    Essential Job Functions:


    • Provides primary care services to patients at Centers as scheduled.


    • Provide medical direction for healthcare activities at Centers.


    • Provide consultation for health care staff members.


    • Assist in formulating, executing and periodically reviewing policies, protocols, procedures and patient referrals as appropriate.


    • Periodically review patient medical records for accuracy.


    • Provide medical orders and patient referrals as appropriate.


    • Serves as preceptor for nurse practitioners.


    • Documents all encounters in electronic medical record.


    • Perform other appropriate duties as assigned by the Medical Director.

    Physical Requirements:

    Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone. Speaking: Must be

    able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone. Vision: Visual acuity

    adequately to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and

    computer screens. Other: Requires occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 10

    pounds unassisted in normal daily activities and up to 30 lbs. for other required work

    activities. Additionally, requires frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements

    (especially if keyboarding and writing), standing, walking, squatting, and sitting, with some lifting,

    pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
