    Description
    SR. Electrical Engineer

    Must have:
    (Industrial controls and Power Systems OR a "RF" replacement to Power Systems see list below)-AutoCAD-EE degree-Industrial Controls-Power systems (the power systems experience is hard - here are some acceptable replacements to Power Systems Background could include )-RF Medical-RF PCB or radio frequency experience-ANY RF Electronics background-Magnetic design experience-Minigrid environment experience


    Responsibilities and Tasks:

    • Design and engineer micro-grid scale PV solar systems, energy storage projects between 5KW and 100KW insize.
    • Provide technical expertise and support in planning and integrating renewable energy resources.
    • Develop and maintain a broad knowledge of existing and emerging technologies for planning and implementingmicro-grids of the future.
    • Autonomously generate engineering bills of material and quote scope, create CAD schematics and layouts,provide support of product manufacturing.
    • Understanding of related electrical codes and standards, including UL508A, UL698A, NFPA 70, NFPA 79, NFPA70E, ISO 13849.
    • Use SolidWorks/AutoCAD Electrical and be able to create full schematic packages, panel layouts and bill ofmaterials adhering to relevant electrical codes and standards.
    • Be a part of the growing systems engineering team developing software and electronics for electrical andthermal power systems.
    • Work on a wide variety of client projects at various stages of the product development lifecycle.
    • A highly skilled and experienced electrical engineer is expected to be able to take complex product requirementsand design electrical solutions to meet the requirements.
    • Our fast-paced environment demands the ability to manage multiple projects within various disciplines anddeadlines. High-energy, self-starters with flexibility to multi-task and perform a wide range of activities will besuccessful.
    • Previous experience with hardware selection for electrical systems is required, including ICP hardware design,power and control components, sensors, process equipment, networking, instrumentation, automation, andindustrial controls.
    • Proven ability to work and collaborate in a fast-paced and multi-discipline work environment.
    ExperienceYou should be able to consistently perform and improve your role and educate others around you. You will encounter unknowns and will personally solve complex electrical engineering and power systems problems.


    Required skills:

    • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems.
    • 4-7 years' experience in solar and/or energy storage commercial industry with micro-grid scale experience a plus
    • SolidWorks or AutoCAD Electrical Drafting.
    • Knowledge of 3 Phase
    • UL508A industrial electrical panel design.
    • Knowledge of power systems and industrial controls systems.
    • PLC Automation and basic programming skills.
    • Safety circuit design.
    • Regulatory compliance including UL Listing, CE Mark, FCC Certifications and related.
    • Experience with design version control technology such as Git and PDM systems.
    • Some experience with small businesses or startups is a plus.
