    JOB BRIEF

    We are looking for a dedicated, well-spoken customer service representative to join our Early Out department. The responsibilities of the customer service representative include helping assist patients in resolving open medical balances.


    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Interacts with customers via telephone to provide support and information on medical balances.

    Collects and enters information and assists with payments and payment arrangements.

    Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representatives knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate department.

    Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers problems and concerns.

    Performs other related duties as assigned.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     Excellent communication skills including active listening.

    Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.

    Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.


    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    High school diploma or equivalent.


    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Position requires ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, general correspondence, and memos.

    In addition, ability to write office correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization is required.



    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
