    We are looking for a person with a controls engineering (or technical, industrial automation background) to become our Mitsubishi Automation Product Specialist.

    You will be able to troubleshoot customer issues, take calls from customers, consult with sales and on solving PLC, HMI, Motion, and Robotic applications.60% of the time is spent in the office40% hands on, helping the customerJOB DESCRIPTIONWe are an automation distributor and solution provider based in the Philadelphia area.

    Our Controls Engineer is a contributing engineer who is primarily a technical resource to support the sales team and helps salespeople and customers select the best solution from our Automation product offerings.


    Essential Functions:
    Possess top level technical knowledge of PLC/PC/HMI/robotics (Mitsubishi, Festo, Balluff, Standard Bots)Design, configure and troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic solutions.
    Program using ladder/SFC/FBD/STCommission small automation systems.
    Assist customers in choosing the right products/solution for each application.
    Assist suppliers and salespeople in learning the products and how to position them in each market.
    Provide presentations to customers and internal staff on engineering solutions.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsExperience with Industrial Automation Hardware and PneumaticsExperience designing Pneumatic and Electrical Automation SolutionsSelf-starter that will take direction and execute a plan with little supervision.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and TEAMSProficient with AutoCAD or equivalent design toolsComfortable designing electrical and pneumatic circuitsProficient in IEC PLC programming methodsPosition Type/ Hours of Work:
    Full time with very occasional weekend work

    Required Education and Experience:
    Technical Degree or Certificate in applicable controls engineering field.

    Two or more years of Industrial Controls Engineering experiencePrior work-related use of Microsoft Office toolsExperience programming PLCs and industrial computers.


    Preferred Education and Experience:
    5+ years of Industrial Automation Controls Engineering experienceBS in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Controls, or Manufacturing Engineering#J-18808-Ljbffr
