    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The Project Manager will be responsible for complete governance of assigned projects, consisting of our most complex product lines across all Brands and Collections, ranging from resilient flooring to entrances systems.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

    Project Management

    • Be the responsible individual for the entire quote, order & follow-up cycle.
    • Participate in pre-installation meetings with sales and estimating to review project scope, materials, budget, drawings, etc.
    • Evaluate architectural specifications and ensure all items bid properly and accurately.
    • Act as a trusted advisor and partner to Sales reps. and customers, making them feel like our most important customers.
    • Embrace the role as the Champion for customers acting as the voice of the customer to Matter Surfaces and vice versa, ensuring expectations are clear, concise & accurate.
    • Take lead on customer issues, ensuring swift action, clear communication & full resolution.
    • Insist on high attention to detail for all customer projects.
    • Initiate RFIs to address issues with interpretation of plans & specifications, missing information, incorrect details, incomplete information & other issues that require the direction of the Architect & Engineers.
    • Ensure that all required project documentation is completed in a timely manner and maintained in the appropriate ERP/CRM account inclusive of submittals, drawing logs, sketches and drawings.

    Departmental Support

    • Lead by example by embodying the brand of service Customers deserve from Matter Surfaces, conveying executive presence to all verbal & written communications.
    • Preserve an unassuming attitude, while embracing roles as both a teacher & a learner to all.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

    • Executive presence with exceptional phone etiquette & written communication skills.
    • Strong professional judgement to prioritize & time manage day-to-day work while multi-tasking.
    • Excellent problem solving & trouble-shooting techniques.
    • High proficiency in MS Office suite.
    • Highly detailed orientated with a strong sense of urgency.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelors Degree preferred.
    • 5-10 years of post-graduate professional experience.
    • 3-5 years experience in Customer Service and/or Account Management.
    • Previous experience with ERP systems.
    • Familiarity with Entrance Systems and/or flooring solutions, equipment, tools and processes a plus.
