    GENERAL SUMMARY

    The Director, Hotel Revenue Optimization (HROD) ensures maximum revenue generation for hotels within the region and to Preferred Travel Group through effective use of the PTG commercial eco-system including the distribution platform and channels; sales programs; and loyalty and marketing activations. The HROD is an active part of the regional team supporting the regions hotels in terms of providing insight to optimize hotel revenue, reservations/revenue analysis and consultation, new hotel implementation, account development and penetration, and other key aspects of the member/PTG relationship. The primary focus is on hotel members of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts brand, and activity from time to time with the Beyond Green and Historic Hotels 0f America brands.

    ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

    Under the direct supervision of the Regional Director with a dotted line responsibility to the regions EVP of the United States & Canada, the Director Hotel Revenue Optimization works with Area/Regional Director(s), the Revenue Account Management team, the GDS, Central Implementations, Finance, Sales and Marketing departments. The HROD will interact with the account management team of PTGs provider of Central Reservations and other distribution partners.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    A. Account Management: Retain and enhance relationships with assigned hotels or groups of hotels. Alongside Regional Director(s) create and execute on strategic plans for assigned accounts.

    B. Hotel Implementations, Onboarding & Pre-Opening Support: Provide strategic insight to channel, rate and distribution optimization during contracting, implementation, and onboarding phase. Ensure implementation timeline is achieved. Direct hotels to appropriate help resources and provide direct support as defined via the PTG Corporate Revenue Management Certification Process and focused on the unique needs of each hotel.

    C. Hotel Business Reviews: Perform regularly scheduled reviews of hotels in accordance with PTG service level standards and as agreed upon by Regional management. Reviews include, but are not limited to: rate analysis, availability, CRS and GDS optimization, group and transient sales strategies and competitive set information. Use of all room revenue data sources (such as Agency360, STR, Cvent, etc) is expected where available. Communicate results of reviews, along with recommendations or corrective actions, to the hotel, Regional Management and PTG Corporate.

    D. On-Going Hotel Support: Conduct ongoing revenue strategy sessions with assigned hotels or hotel groups. Direct hotels to appropriate help resources and provide direct support as needed. Work alongside Central Services, PROS, and Sales to provide guidance on optimization of tactic/strategy where needed.

    E. Central Reservations, Distribution and Revenue Management Regional Subject Matter Expert: Provide information to Regional Management on changes, enhancements and general updates on PTG central reservations system, distribution channels, distribution opportunities and ProTools. Implement as agreed upon.

    F. Commercial Team Alignment: Participate in regional and global commercial meetings to ensure knowledge of all PTG initiatives and to provide feedback.

    G. Support Area/Regional Director/Development: Provide support to regional team for engagement and presentations to prospective hotel members.

    H. Maintain Certification: Complete requirements to maintain PTG Corporate Revenue Management Certification on an annual basis.

    I. Special Projects: Periodically and at the discretion of the RD and EVP, HROD will be assigned short term and long term special projects and assignments.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Worker characteristics are normally acquired through the completion of a university degree program or related hotel/travel industry experience.
    • Minimum six years hospitality or travel industry experience including four years on-property or multi-hotel revenue management or hotel operations experience.
    • Proven understanding of the principles of distribution, pricing and revenue management demonstrated through case study of own experience.
    • Sales, Reservations, Distribution, and/or Revenue Management experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of GDS and CRS systems.
    • Excellent relationship building skills; customer service oriented; ability to manage multiple tasks; analytical ability to interpret statistical data; proven presentation skills.
    • Complete and maintain PTGs Corporate Revenue Management Certification. (this is completed upon employment and part of ongoing job responsibilities)
    WORKING CONDITIONS

    This position can based in the New York City office and/or in a Remote Home Office. Associates based within a 60 mile radius are expected to be in the office a minimum of 2 days a week.

    All PTG offices are in a professional office environment including all required technology tools. Remote and hybrid positions are provided with appropriate technology tools for mobile and at home use. Incumbent is seated most of the time.

    Potentially 20-40% of time spent traveling regionally and occasion national or international travel.

    Salary range: USD $95,000-135,000; actual compensation within this range will be based on location, individual skills and experience.
