    RoleWe're hiring a generalist to help us tackle our biggest challenges as we work towards a Series A raise.

    This is an incredible opportunity to have a massive impact and help define the strategy of an early stage startup disrupting an insanely large and critical industry.

    This person is obsessed with early stage startups and building from the ground up. They have a high attention to detail while still being able to move fast.

    They'll be expected to make an impact across all areas of the business, teaching themselves the skills needed to remove blockers and keep the business moving forward.

    In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

    Work directly with the CEO (former leading salesperson at both Flexport and Uber) as a thought partnerPartner with cross-functional stakeholders to develop our strategy and conduct quarterly/annual planningBuild out early business functions and prepare a process and playbook to scale them Build revenue forecasts, analyze current business performance, and assess market opportunitiesSupport CEO with sales materials, investor updates, fundraising and go to market effortsDrive special projects across Product, Operations, Growth, Go-to-Market and RecruitingAnalyze opportunities, conduct research, develop strategic plans for pricing and monetizationOperationalize and manage manual tests of potential revenue generating opportunitiesWork cross-functionally to identify process issues and recommend solutions to improve, using dataCommunicate data and strategy through well-built and easy to follow presentationsConstantly think of new ways to add value to the business (e.g.

    through partnerships, growth/product ideas, experiments, etc)

    Collaborate across the organization (we're a small, lean team) and help shape an organizational culture of feedback, ownership and excellenceWe're looking for someone who:

    Has 3+ years of consulting/strategy and/or financial services (Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital) experienceHas 1-3 years in an operating role at a b2b tech startup (bonus points if at a seed stage)Is an extremely organized "swiss army knife" generalist Can engage in both big picture thinking and day-to-day executionIs an exceptional writer and communicatorIs a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and can figure things out given high level directionThinks analytically and leverages data to make decisionsIs excited by the startup grind and bringing structure to chaosHas no problem getting projects off the ground from 0 to 1About PortexPortex is building a procurement and payment operating system for the $4 trillion logistics industry - the backbone of the global economy.

    We're building simple yet revolutionary freight procurement, payment and financing products to help businesses realize pricing efficiency and transparency in global trade.

    Our founding team has backgrounds from Flexport, Uber, KeepTruckin, Procore and Morgan Stanley.

    We just raised a $8M+ seed round of funding from VC firms including Susa Ventures, Footwork, Cowboy Ventures and Base10, and a group of angels from founding teams at Uber, Affirm, Brex, Plaid, Cloudtrucks, KeepTruckin and more.

    Our business is at a point where we've built a sticky product with high usage and retention that customers are willing to pay for.

    Now our #1 priority is building a repeatable sales motion to consistently scale our customer base each month.
