- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique visual impairment and requirements.
- Provide direct instruction to visually impaired students in various subjects, utilizing appropriate instructional strategies and technologies to support learning.
- Adapt teaching for materials and resources involving braille, tactile graphics, and assistive technologies to meet students visual impairment needs.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies as needed to meet the students needs.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other team members to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Liaise with school administration and general education teachers to facilitate progress in the classroom.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
- Available full-time or part-time during school hours.
- Masters Level Degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students from an accredited program.
- Must have certified state teaching certification in Pennsylvaniaand state of residence.
- Experience with virtual platforms (Zoom/Teams) preferred.
- An at home computer with high internet speed.
- Flexibility of working fully remote/virtual.
