    Remote Teacher for the Visually Impaired-Pennsylvania - Philadelphia, United States - Soliant

    Description
    Minimum 1+ years visually impaired experience required.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique visual impairment and requirements.
    • Provide direct instruction to visually impaired students in various subjects, utilizing appropriate instructional strategies and technologies to support learning.
    • Adapt teaching for materials and resources involving braille, tactile graphics, and assistive technologies to meet students visual impairment needs.
    • Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies as needed to meet the students needs.
    • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other team members to ensure comprehensive support for students.
    • Liaise with school administration and general education teachers to facilitate progress in the classroom.

    Qualifications:

    • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
    • Available full-time or part-time during school hours.
    • Masters Level Degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students from an accredited program.
    • Must have certified state teaching certification in Pennsylvaniaand state of residence.
    • Experience with virtual platforms (Zoom/Teams) preferred.
    • An at home computer with high internet speed.
