    Job DescriptionDescription:

    Spend your summer providing a fun, safe and exciting learning environment for children ages 1-5. Assistants enjoy full time hours/pay without working nights or weekends. Assistants help lead arts + crafts, playground time, special Friday activities and visits to our beautiful outdoor pool with special Splash Pad for our littlest swimmers.

    Schedule: M-F 12:30-6:00pm (some days earlier depending on swim schedules)

    Pay and Benefits

    • $10 - $12 per hour
    • No nights or weekends

    • Camp runs May 30 - August 2

    What You'll Do

    • Provide for the health and safety of all children in the school.
    • Create a positive, warm, individualized, and nurturing environment for children that stimulates inquiry and open-ended thought.
    • Provide support to teachers through lesson plan implementation, daily cleaning tasks, and supervision of children.
    • Cultivate and maintain a positive relationship with parents.
    • Foster and develop relationships with other teaching team members, including co-teachers.
    • Gear the program towards the needs of individual children taking into account interests, challenges, talents, and individual learning styles.
    • Provide safe and efficient supervision at the swimming pool.
    Requirements:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Experience working with young children is preferred

    Physical Requirements

    Job requires frequent (2-5 hours per shift) standing, walking, carrying and repetitive motions and occasional (up to 2 hours per shift) sitting, lifting up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing and stooping/crouching.
