    Description

    Temple Health is seeking a BC/BE Geriatric Medicine Physician with a strong interest and/or demonstrated competency in medical education for a full-time clinician educator position.

    The successful candidate will see patients across the continuum of care while building innovative educational programs for medical students and residents. Clinical responsibilities include primary care for a panel of older adults within Temple's Department of Family and Community Medicine, inpatient consults for geriatric patients at Temple University Hospital, and skilled nursing facility care for patients transferred from a Temple facility.

    Temple Health and the Lewis Katz School of Medicine are also dedicated to training future physicians in the care of older adults. The successful candidate will work extensively with students and residents in clinical settings and will partner with leadership of both the Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residencies on curriculum design and clinical rotations. Through partnership with the Temple Center for Population Health and other Temple initiatives, robust opportunities also exist for community programming and outreach.

    Job Qualifications

  • M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent
  • Successful completion of an ACGME accredited FM or IM residency program and an ACGME accredited Geriatric Medicine fellowship program
  • Board certification or eligibility in Geriatric Medicine
  • Unrestricted medical license & DEA from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to start date
