    Description

    Physician Assistant Position at Specialty Care Neighborhood Model

    This job listing is for a Physician Assistant to join the team at our Specialty Care Neighborhood model. As a mid-level provider, you will play a crucial role in delivering direct patient care, patient education, teaching, performance improvement, and staff education as part of the surgical service provider team. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with healthcare professionals to offer comprehensive care to our Veterans, addressing their healthcare needs, managing care effectively, and ensuring patient satisfaction and well-being.

    Qualifications

    • Master's degree in any discipline or a bachelor's degree with one year of experience as a Physician Assistant
    • Successful completion of the PA National Certifying Exam (PANCE)
    • Current full and unrestricted license to practice
    • One to three years of clinical experience in procedural or critical care
    • Experience in Surgical Specialty

    Grade Determinations

    • Physician Assistant-I (PA-I) - Entry level with basic practice principles
    • Physician Assistant-II (PA-II) - Intermediate level with increased responsibilities and experiences
    • Physician Assistant-III (PA-III) - Full performance level with advanced clinical knowledge

    Duties

    • Conducting medical histories and physical examinations
    • Ordering diagnostic studies and consultations
    • Developing treatment plans and coordinating medical care
    • Performing perioperative interventions in the Operating Room

    Work Schedule

    • Monday through Friday, 06:30 am-03:00 pm

    Physical Requirements

    • Visual acuity, keen hearing, manual dexterity
    • Potential for long periods of walking, standing, and patient transfers
    • Exposure to infected patients and stressful situations
