    Pharmaceutical industry.

    This individual manages exempt and non-exempt Chemistry Laboratory staff. Oversees and guides the Chemistry Team in routine QC testing, new product and equipment deployment, environmental programs, and/or metrology. The individual has responsibility for ensuring that product and stability testing meets timelines, ensuring compliance is maintained and product is available to customers.

    -- Provides support and oversight of testing and release of laboratory testing

    -- Initiates and completes laboratory investigations to their closure

    -- Conducts training for direct reports and takes part in needed training to perform job function

    -- Provides performance-based feedback to direct reports, including completion of annual performance reviews

    -- Participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives

    -- Maintain cGMP in the laboratory and evaluate/recommend new technology and/or equipment

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:


    • Bachelor's degree in science or related discipline


    • 5+ years experience in a laboratory environment


    • 3+ years of supervisory experience


    • Demonstrated success of running a high-volume 50+ staff quality control organization within pharmaceutical manufacturing or contract lab environment
