- Acts as liaison between administration and clerical/technical staff.
- Knows and understands how to work all aspects of CT scanners and PACS systems.
- Understands, communicates, and manages proper CT assignment to Rad rotations.
- Manages in a clear, concise, and organized manner all required clinical documentation to include policy and procedures, scanner protocols, special exam protocols such as clinical trial or specific exam protocols, training manuals or other required CT specific documentation.
- Strong Communicator, with Radiologists, administration, referrers, outside facilities, patients and clinical/clerical staff in a manner that positively represents this facility and the best interest of patient care.
- Routinely monitors email to ensure good communication and distribution of information to staff and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Attends Supervisor Meeting and other requested discussion as notified, and actively participates in facility problem-solving as requested.
- Responsible for designating a department lead to carry out daily duties in the absence of the supervisor.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Completion of accredited course in radiologic technology.
- Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Florida Certified in Radiologic Technology.
- Must maintain ongoing continuing education requirements.
- Current CPR certification.
- Knowledge of CT scan policies and protocols.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and clinical indications necessary to follow proper scanning protocols.
- Skilled CT Technologist without any scan limitations, capable of researching and implementing the addition of any new CT exam, protocol or policy requested.
- Skill in production of quality CT scans.
- Ability to operate ionizing radiation equipment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with both colleagues and patients.
- Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions.

This position offers desirable daytime hours in a comfortable outpatient setting with a solid team. The department is open 7 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday and 8 am to 4 pm Saturday. The CT Supervisor would be expected to work five days per week during normal business hours.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Responsible for day-to-day supervision of CT employees and activities. Performs CT scanning to assist in the diagnosis of disease, sets up and maintains CT scanning protocols. Responsible for all question-and-answer activities.
