    Position: Account Manager Portland Area, OR

    Toray Performance Materials Corporation (TPMC) is currently seeking an Account Manager to join our team.

    The position will cover the Western U.S., reporting to TPMC Director of Sales and based preferably in the Portland area but other locations will be considered.



    Company Overview: Toray Performance Materials Corporation (TPMC), a part of the Toray Advanced Composites (TAC) Group, is a leader in development and manufacturing of thermoplastic composites technology and products. TPMC primarily services customers in the consumer recreation, medical, and electronics industries as well as other industrial segments. Growth in these markets and future expanded markets is desired.


    Position Overview:

    The primary purpose of the Account Manager is to generate sales revenue and create profit for the company by identifying new and cultivate existing business opportunities and to grow and develop our best business opportunities.

    As the Account Manager, you are an external representative of our organization; you must convey a sense of expertise in our products, services, and capabilities, as you serve as a key educator to our accounts.



    Major Duties and Requirements:

    An aggressive self-starter that can build long lasting relationships with customers at all levels (operators to C-suite) and company team members.


    Highly customer-focused and driven to exceed the customers expectations while delivering results that meet internal guidelines and objectives.

    Support the sale from concept to production.

    Responsible for developing a Forecast and Sales Plan and providing regular updates, revision and modifications to the Plan.

    Maintain updated knowledge and proficiency of product lines and pricing.

    Contacting and visiting customers in our key markets to review their projects and our products and services.

    Prospecting/Hunting within current markets able to present the company with self-confidence.

    Communicate effectively with all internal departments, informing and updating regularly to guarantee that sales and client objectives are met.

    Work closely with the Operations team.

    Work closely with Taiwan, China, and Vietnam operations to assure customers activities are being coordinated appropriately.

    Sales Deliverables: 1. Annual Account Plans for growth accounts, 2. Weekly Reports, 3. Rigorous customer weekly meeting schedule with prompt (within 2 days) reporting in Salesforce, 4. Monthly Forecast Updates, 5. Monthly Sales Funnel/Pipeline Updates, 6. Expectation of Quarterly Sales Skills self-development (reading, online courses, podcasts), 7. Quarterly Sales Meeting participation, 8. Weekly New Business/Account Prospecting

    Ability to travel globally, % overnight travel.

    Ability to work over multiple time zones.


    Experience and/or Education Requirements:

    Bachelors degree in business administration, Sales or Marketing preferred.

    Composites background or equivalent experience desirable but not required.

    2-5 years of experience in Sales Account Management


    Salary Information

    $69,737 - $111,580 USD Annual


    Compensation:

    A competitive compensation package including base salary, potential for bonus based on performance, group health, dental and vision insurance, and 401k will be available to the qualified applicant.
