    Description
    Job DescriptionReports to Electrical Supervisor, Crew leader, and Plant Engineering Department. Performs repair, maintenance duties troubleshooting, and other duties as assigned.


    Responsibilities:
    Troubleshoots electrical systems from 480Vac to 110Vac and 48Vdc to 5Vdc.
    Checks and records instrumentation readings on critical plant equipment, including electrical, air gas, water and oil systems.
    Performs maintenance and repairs on electrical, air, gas, water and oil systems. Troubleshoots new and existing equipment.
    Monitor, inspect and operate systems to make necessary adjustments and repairs as required.
    Become highly knowledgeable in all aspects of plant operations.

    Participants will be enrolled in the federally approved Bureau of Apprenticeship Training joint Apprenticeship Program and maintain GPA per program requirements.

    QualificationsMust be 18 years or older.
    Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
    Physically able to work any position.
    Must be able to move heavy equipment.
    Visual acuity 20/20, far and near, with correction if necessary.


    Requirements:
    Must be able to meet all requirements of the Joint Apprenticeship Program.
    Pass a physical exam indicating the applicant can perform the work of the trade with reasonable accommodations.
    Pass the Apprentice Battery Tests.
    Successfully complete 8000 hours OJT in the plant.
    Successfully complete all related courses at a Junior College.
    Must demonstrate ability.
    Pass all reviews performed by Supervision and the Apprenticeship Committee.
    Pay $34.
