Job Summary Moon Valley Nurseries Stump Grinder Technician is responsible for leading a team who perform stump grinding and other maintenance related duties for tree removal

Anticipated Compensation:
$ $30.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Health insurancePaid time off Key Duties and Responsibilities Review jobs for the dayClean all trucks and confirm proper equipment is stocked on the truck. i.e., which grinder will be needed to complete all jobs.
Check in to truck with Samsara.
Apply all safety requirements and OSHA standards.
Get all members of the crew safely to each jobsite.

Taking before and after photos and uploading them to SamsaraJob walk-throughs with the customer before and after work is completed.

All grinding areas are prepared with a safety shield.
Ensure all team members are in required PPE.


Keeping teams on scheduleQualifications:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Must have a clean driving record and able to pass a DOT PhysicalMust understand blue stake and utility markings.1-3 years of stump grinding experienceThe ability to follow detailed instructions and take direction.

The ability to work as a team.1-3 years of prior landscaping experienceEducation High School Diploma or GEDPhysical requirements/Working conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind. OTHER Subject to MVR and criminal background check.
